It's basically replacing a header tag with an image, but still telling the robots that it's extremely important to the website you have. Remember, being nice to the crawlers is really SEO work. So instead of <h1>This is important!</h1> on your website, it goes something like this:

Yes this one take a little more experience in coding and things like that, which yet again is why you need another company or knowledgeable person to do this for you. This is a extremely great trick for your website to get kudos from web crawlers.
